1. That growing a beard is like a Rorschach Test. People’s reactions and responses tell you more about them than about the beard I have grown.
2. That writing a book is like birthing a child. The writing is easy. But editing is difficult, kind of like raising a child.
3. That Churches are all different except that they are all the same, at least the ones we visited. They all have high ideals tempered by the reality that most people have a lot going on in their lives besides church.
4. That I love traveling and attending Church with my wife. We are the best of friends and we share our thoughts and observations: four sets of eyes but one heart.
5. That it was wonderful to be loosened from our usual responsibilities for a month, but it will be great to get back to the wonderful people of Limerick Chapel because they are the most exceptionally sweet, encouraging and committed people I have ever known.
